2016 BMW M2 – Review, Price, Coupe, Specs

With unique design, great fuel efficiency, and a powerful engine, new 2016 BMW M2 is almost ready to take the market of small luxury sports coupe vehicles.


New M2 will soon hit the market with aggressive and modern style. It comes with a set of 19-inch wheels and aerodynamic body. Comparing to its predecessor, new model will be 300 pounds lighter, thanks to the use of aluminum. This will improve the fuel consumption and the overall performance. Front side of the vehicle will feature a redesigned grille, stylish LED headlights, and a wider bumper with chrome finish. Redesigned rear bumper with quad exhaust tips will give the back side a more powerful appearance. The cabin of the new 2016 BMW M2 will be bigger in size. It will retain comfort and high level of luxury of its predecessor. Dark leather with blue stitching will give the interior a modern and sporty look. Large touch screen will come with a lot of great high-tech features that will make the new model more user-friendly. Those features include Internet connectivity, voice commands, hands-free connectivity, Navigation Professional system, rear view camera, and many more.

Information regarding the engine is still not official, but the new model will certainly come with a different engine than its predecessor. This will most likely be a 3.0-liter inline 6-cylinder engine that will be capable of producing up to 374 horsepower and 384 lb-ft of torque. It will be able to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.3 seconds. When it comes to the transmission system, new 2016 BMW M2 will come with two options. Both 6-speed manual and 7-speed dual clutch transmissions are expected to be available. Another improvement will be a better fuel efficiency, thanks to the reduction in weight of the new model.

There is still not a lot of information about the official release date of the new 2016 BMW M2. However, new model is expected to come to the market either at the end of 2015 or at the beginning of 2016. Starting price should to be around $55,000 and it will rise from there for models with additional equipment.
