2016 BMW M6 – Gran Coupe, Convertible, Release, Horsepower, MSRP

New 2016 BMW M6 will be hitting the market with some mild refreshments and updates, and will be available in coupe, gran coupe and convertible version.


Comparing to the previous generation, this model will not come with any huge changes but rather small improvements that will make this car even more marketable. From the outside, new model will have a modern and elegant appearance. It will feature a recognizable kidney grille, similar bumper, and headlights that will be equipped with the LED technology. Coupe and convertible versions come with four seats and two doors, while gran coupe has five seats and four doors. The cabin will feature attractive and modern design and will be equipped with a lot of premium materials including leather. New 2016 BMW M6 comes with many functional technological features such as a large display, Bluetooth connectivity, USB port, navigation system, and Stop and Go automated technology.

All three versions of the new 2016 BMW M6 will be equipped with the same engine. This is the same unit that is under the hood of the previous generation of this model. It is a twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 engine that is capable of delivering up to 560 horsepower and around 500 lb-ft of torque. When it comes to the transmission system, new M6 will come with either a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. New model will be able to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in around 4.3 seconds and reach the top speed of 155 mph. Fuel ratting for the new model with the manual transmission will be at 15 mpg for the city drive and 22 mpg on the highway, while for the one equipped with the automatic gearbox it will be at 14 mpg in the city and 20 mpg on the highway.

New 2016 BMW M6 made its debut at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show and is expected to hit the dealerships at the beginning of 2016. We should not expect to see a huge change in price from the previous model, meaning that the starting price of the new M6 will probably be around $112,000.
