Cadillac is giving its midsize luxury SUV a complete redesign, which will make 2016 Cadillac SRX even more competitive and successful on the market.
CHANGES AND IMPROVEMENTS
Cadillac’s well-known SUV will undergo a lot of changes, both on the inside and on the outside. The weight of the vehicle will be reduced, which will positively influence fuel economy and improve the overall performance. New model will be bigger in size, with a longer wheelbase. Exterior will get a more sophisticated and aggressive look. Some of the changes will include redesigned grille, new bumper, as well as LED headlights. The cabin of the new 2016 Cadillac SRX will be spacious and able to comfortably accommodate up to seven passengers. It will be equipped with some great features such as navigation, dual zone automatic climate control, premium audio system and many more.
2016 CADILLAC SRX ENGINE AND PERFORMANCE
We will also see a lot of changes under the hood of the new 2016 Cadillac SRX. There will be a few engine options offered. The base engine will most likely be a 2.0 liter turbocharged engine that will be able to produce up to 280 horsepower and 300 lb-ft of torque. Another option will be a 3.6 liter V6 engine that will be capable of delivering 320 horsepower and around 305 lb-ft of torque. V-Sport model will probably support a turbocharged version of this engine that will be able to deliver over 400 horsepower. All of these engines will come with new 9-speed automatic transmission system. Front wheel drive will be offered with the base model of the new SRX, while other models will come with an all-wheel drive only. Cadillac will also improve the fuel efficiency with their new model, which will definitely make this SRX even more desirable and put it at the top of its class.
RELEASE DATE AND EXPECTED PRICE
If the predictions are true, new 2016 Cadillac SRX will hit the market towards the end of 2015. The price should be similar to the price of the previous generation, but we can probably expect a slight increase, considering all of the upgrades. It is predicted to start at around $40,000 and go up to $55,000.
