2016 Dodge Avenger Engine and Price

Being one of the most popular mid-size sedans, new 2016 Dodge Avenger certainly comes with high expectations as well as some great changes and improvements.


New model will come with its recognizable sporty and modern design. We will not see any major changes but rather small upgrades and improvements which will make this generation of Avenger even better than the previous one. Front of the vehicle will be equipped with a familiar grille with a cross-shaped symbol and headlights that give the car a more powerful and dominant look. Back side will also undergo some slight changes including a redesigned bumper. New 2016 Dodge Avenger will come with a set of 18-inch metal rimmed wheels. Much like the exterior, the cabin of the new model will also only be slightly redesigned and it will keep its sporty and fresh appearance. With a more spacious cabin, it will provide a higher level of comfort for its passengers. It will be equipped with premium materials and come with a lot of great high-tech features.

Dodge will probably offer only one engine option. However, Dodge never disappoints with the performance of their vehicles and the new 2016 Dodge Avenger will not be an exception either. It will come with improved 2.4-liter inline four-cylinder engine. This unit will be capable of delivering up to 173 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque. It will be paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission system and come with a rear wheel drive system. Looking back at the previous generation of Avenger, fuel economy was definitely one of the weaker aspects of this model. Dodge is aiming to improve this and put the new Avenger even higher up in its class. It is estimated that the fuel consumption will be at 21 mpg for the city drive and 29 mpg on the highway.

Although there is no official confirmation from Dodge yet, new 2016 Dodge Avenger is expected to hit the market by the end of 2015. There will be three trim levels available: SE, SXT and R/T. Price will depend on the trim level you choose and will range from $20,500 to $25,800.
