Another great vehicle from Dodge is coming to the market soon. New 2016 Dodge Challenger will be a combination of traditional design and modern features.
EXTERIOR AND INTERIOR
New Dodge will not introduce any major changes. It will keep its recognizable retro look with a lot of high-tech features. The front of the vehicle will have a powerful appearance. It will feature a split grille and improved LED headlights and fog lights. Dodge will offer nine wheel options with the new 2016 Dodge Challenger. When it comes to the interior, we will see an improvement from the previous model. It will be made of high-quality materials and include a lot of great features such as Wi-Fi connectivity, navigation system, 8.4-inch touch-screen display and many more.
2016 DODGE CHALLENGER ENGINE
When it comes to the engine of the new 2016 Dodge Challenger, there will be a lot of options offered. First one will be a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine that will be able to produce around 305 horsepower and 268 lb-ft of torque. This engine will come with a base model and will be paired with 8-speed automatic transmission. Second option will be a 5.7-liter HEMI V8 engine that will be capable of delivering 375 horsepower and around 410 lb-ft of torque. Another option will probably be a 6.4-liter HEMI V8 engine. This one will be capable of generating 485 horsepower and up to 475 lb-ft of torque. SRT model will be equipped with a 6.2-liter supercharged V8, which is the same engine that can be found on the previous generation of this model. It will deliver 707 horsepower and up to 650 lb-ft of torque. These last three engines will come with two options for transmission system: 6-speed manual and 8-speed automatic gearbox.
RELEASE DATE AND EXPECTED PRICE
We do not yet know the official release date of the new model, but it will probably not be available for purchase before the fall of 2015. When it comes to the price, it is safe to say that it will not be much higher than the price of the previous generation. The base model of the new 2016 Dodge Challenger will cost around $28,000, while the price for the higher trim levels will go up to $61,000.
