The next generation of Dodge’s crossover SUV is coming to the market soon. New 2016 Dodge Journey is coming refreshed and ready to face the competition.
EXTERIOR AND INTERIOR
Dodge will give its new model attractive design improvements and some great technological upgrades. New Journey will use the same platform as Crysler 200 and will be equipped with a set of 19-inch alloy wheels. Comparing to its predecessor, new model has a less rounded look with sleeker body. It will come with sharper edges and a more aggressive and powerful appearance. A lot of amazing changes will be seen on the interior of the new 2016 Dodge Journey. With more space inside the cabin and more cargo space, it will be great for long family rides. 2016 DODGE JOURNEY ENGINE
New 2016 Dodge Journey will most likely have the same engine lineup as the previous generation of this model. There will be two engine options available. The first option will be a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine that will be capable of delivering up to 173 horsepower and 166 lb-ft of torque. The second engine option for the new Journey will be a 3.5-liter V6 engine. This unit will be able to produce up to 283 horsepower and around 260 lb-ft of torque. When it comes to the transmission system, both engines will come with either 4-speed, 6-speed, or 9-speed gearbox. Fuel efficiency is also expected to be improved, due to the weight reduction of the new model.
RELEASE DATE AND EXPECTED PRICE
If you are looking into purchasing new 2016 Dodge Journey, you will have to wait a little bit longer. New model is expected to hit the dealerships at the beginning of 2016. If the rumors are true, the price will start at around $22,000 and go up to $32,000 for the higher trim levels.
