EXTERIOR AND INTERIOR
We will see some nice changes and upgrades, both on the inside and on the outside on the new model. Ford uses lightweight materials in order to reduce the weight of the vehicle. From the outside, new 2016 Ford Escape has an aggressive and sporty appearance. Three-part grille with thick chrome strips is bigger which contributes to the lower intake. Both headlights and taillights are equipped with the LED technology. Roof comes with a new chrome rack and a new spoiler with the light signals. The cabin of the new Escape is equipped with the premium materials that will provide a high level of comfort. Ford included a lot of safety features such as traction control, stability control, active parking assist, brake assist, and airbags. 2016 FORD ESCAPE ENGINE
When it comes to the engine of the new 2016 Ford Escape, there are three options offered. The first option is a 2.5-liter EcoBoost 4-cylinder engine. This unit comes with the base model of the new Escape and it is able to produce around 168 horsepower and 170 lb-ft of torque. The next engine it the lineup is a 1.6-liter EcoBoost engine that is capable of delivering 178 horsepower and up to 184 lb-ft of torque. This engine is the most efficient one out of the three. The third and the strongest engine is a 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine that can produce around 240 horsepower and up to 270 lb-ft of torque. All of these engines are paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission system. Front wheel drive comes as a standard while the all-wheel drive system is offered as an option for the higher trim levels.
RELEASE DATE AND EXPECTED PRICE
New 2016 Ford Escape has already been released on the United States market. The price of this great crossover starts at $22,960 and goes up to $29,245, which is the similar price as of the previous generation of this model.
