New 2016 Ford Everest is company’s popular mid-size SUV that is coming with some nice refreshments and a capability to deliver an outstanding performance.
EXTERIOR AND INTERIOR
From the outside, new model will have an aggressive and elegant appearance. It will come with a set of 18-inch alloy wheels. Front side of the vehicle will undergo some smaller changes. It will feature a prominent chrome grille which will contribute to a more powerful look of the new 2016 Ford Everest. Both headlights and taillights will be equipped with the LED technology. A lot more changes will be seen inside the cabin of the new model. The interior will feature a luxurious and fresh design. It will be able to accommodate up to seven passengers into a three-row seat layout. In addition, two back rows will be able to fold in order to provide more cargo space if needed. Some of the high-tech features that will come with the new Everest include an 8-inch touch screen, voice command system, lane departure warning, cross traffic alert, and active part assist.
2016 FORD EVEREST ENGINE
There will be a few options for the engine of the new 2016 Ford Everest to choose from. The first option will be a 2.0-liter EcoBoost 4-cylinder engine that will be capable of delivering 250 horsepower and up to 270 lb-ft of torque. This unit will come with a 6-speed automatic transmission system. It will be able to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in around 8.4 seconds and reach the top speed of 155 mph. The second option is a 2.2-liter DuraTorq 4-cylinder diesel engine that will be able to produce 150 horsepower and 277 lb-ft of torque. Ford will offer one more diesel option for their new model. This will be a 3.2-liter DuraTorq 5-cylinder until that will deliver 200 horsepower and up to 347 lb-ft of torque. Both of these units will be paired with either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission system.
RELEASE DATE AND EXPECTED PRICE
Although Ford has not yet announced the official release date of the new 2016 Ford Everest, new model will probably hit the dealerships either at the end of 2015 or the beginning of 2016. Price is expected to start at around $45,000.
