Another great model from Ford will be hitting the market soon. New 2016 Ford Expedition will challenge its competition and surprise a lot of SUV admirers.
2016 FORD EXPEDITION EXTERIOR AND INTERIOR
This generation of Expedition will not get a complete redesign but we will definitely see some nice changes and improvements that will make the new model more modern and refreshed. New Expedition will lose between 200 and 300 pounds which will positively influence fuel efficiency and improve the overall performance. Front of the vehicle will feature a redesigned chrome grille, large bumper, and squared headlights which will be equipped with the LED technology. The rear end will also undergo some changes and will feature a smaller bumper. The cabin of the new 2016 Ford Expedition will be spacious and comfortable. It will be equipped with high-quality materials such as leather, aluminum and wood. Ford will also incorporate a lot of high-tech and safety features such as MyFord Touch infotainment system, Sony audio system, Bluetooth connectivity, USB port, new navigation system, and many more.
ENGINE AND PERFORMANCE
Ford will offer a couple of engine options with their new model. First option will be a 5.4-liter V8 engine, which is the same unit that is under the hood of the current generation of Expedition. Another option will be a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine with direct injection. This engine will be capable of delivering around 365 horsepower and up to 420 lb-ft of torque. Both of these engines will be paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission system. Rear-wheel drive will come as a standard, while all-wheel drive system will also be available as an option. New 2016 Ford Expedition is promised to come with significantly improved fuel efficiency, which could make the new model worth considering if you are in the market for this type of vehicle.
RELEASE DATE AND EXPECTED PRICE
The official release date of the new 2016 Ford Expedition is still unknown but if the rumors are true, new model will hit the market at the end of 2015. When it comes to its price, base model should be anywhere between $40,000 and $42,000, while the price for the higher trim levels will be significantly higher.
