One of the Ford’s best-sellers is coming back with a new design and better specs. 2016 Ford Explorer will be a great upgrade for all of the SUV fans.
EXTERIOR AND INTERIOR CHANGES
Most noticeable change when it comes to the exterior of the new 2016 Ford Explorer will be the redesigned front end. Ford gave this SUV more detailed and defined look. The updated, more sophisticated grill will be accompanied with the standard LED headlights. The back of the car, with a new bumper and redesigned taillights, will give this vehicle a cleaner and more suitable look. Renewed roof rack will also improve aerodynamics. When it comes to the interior of this SUV there are some great new features that contribute to the luxurious feel. The cabin will have three rows of seats, making the new Explorer a seven-passenger car. Real buttons instead of touch-sensitive ones and smart-charging USB ports that allow you to charge your device two times faster than usual, are just some of the features that make this Explorer more user-friendly. Helping to reduce the noise and vibration are new tires, door seals and an optional acoustic glass for the windshield and front doors.
2016 FORD EXPLORER ENGINE
As for the engine of the new 2016 Ford Explorer, we will be presented with a few options to choose from. To replace 2.0 liter engine on the current model, the new Explorer will have 2.3 liter EcoBoost four-cylinder turbocharged engine that will produce an estimate of 270 hp and 300 lb-ft of torque, making it a more powerful version of its predecessor. The base model will still be using the standard 3.5 liter V6 engine, generating 290 hp and 255 lb-ft of torque. Sport and Platinum versions of the Explorer will be using 3.5 liter EcoBoost V6, producing 365 hp and 350 lb-ft of torque. Engines will be paired with six speed automatic transmission and there will be front wheel and all-wheel drive options available.
RELEASE DATE AND EXPECTED PRICE
