2016 Ford Mustang Review and Price

After its introduction last year, new 2016 Ford Mustang grabbed attention of many admirers and proved to be one of the best muscle cars on the market.


Comparing to the previous generation model, new Mustang will not come with any huge changes. It will come with its recognizable sporty and aggressive appearance. New model will be equipped with a set of 19-inch wheels. Ford will use lightweight materials to improve the overall performance of the new Mustang. As far as we can tell so far, there will only be two notable differences between the new model and its predecessor. First change will be the reintroduction of turn signals in the hood vents. This feature will come as a part of standard equipment on all trim levels of 2016 Ford Mustang. The second upgrade will be a new infotainment system. MyFord Touch system will be replaced with a Sync 3 system which is more user-friendly.

There will not be any changes under the hood of the new 2016 Ford Mustang either. Base engine will remain a 3.7-liter V6 engine that will be capable of delivering up to 300 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque. Fuel efficiency ratings for this unit will be at 19 mpg for the city drive and 28 mpg on the highway. The second engine option will be a 2.3-liter EcoBoost 4-cylider engine that will be able to produce 310 horsepower and around 320 lb-ft of torque. Fuel consumption ratings will be at 21 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway. The last engine in the lineup is a 5.0-liter V8 engine that will deliver up to 435 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque. Fuel efficiency is at 16 mpg for the city drive and 25 mpg on the highway. All of these engines will be paired with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission and come with a rear-wheel drive system.

When it comes to release date, new 2016 Ford Mustang will most likely hit the market by the end of the summer of 2015. Comparing to the previous model, price is expected to remain unchanged. Starting price should be $23,800.
