New 2016 Ford Ranger is coming back with prominent design and some great improvements that will make the new model more competitive and better than ever.
CHANGES AND IMPROVEMENTS
After a few years, Ford is finally bringing back their popular pickup truck. It is still not clear whether the new model will show up on the market under the name Ranger or F-100. Regardless of the name, this generation will come redesigned, with some great upgrades. It will get a new aluminum body which will significantly reduce the weight of the vehicle and improve the performance. Exterior will be modern and aggressive. Some of the changes that will be visible on the outside will include redesigned bumpers, new grille and revised headlights. The cabin of the new 2016 Ford Ranger will be comfortable, stylish, and equipped with the latest technological features. Some of the modern features that will be incorporated in the new model will include a 4-inch touch screen display, USB ports, 15 speaker audio system, anti-lock brakes, stability control and airbags.
2016 FORD RANGER ENGINE AND PERFORMANCE
There will be a couple of excellent engine options for the new 2016 Ford Ranger. The first option will be a 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine that will be capable of delivering 240 horsepower and up to 270 lb-ft of torque. Fuel economy for this unit will be at 21 mpg in the city and 30 mpg for the highway drive. Another option will be a 2.3-liter EcoBoost turbo-charging engine with direct injection. It will be able to produce around 285 horsepower and up to 305 lb-ft of torque. Both of these units will come with a four wheel drive system as a standard. In addition to these two engines, Ford will most likely offer a hybrid version as well. This model will come with a great fuel efficiency and will be very eco-friendly.
RELEASE DATE AND EXPECTED PRICE
We still do not know a lot about the release date and price of the new 2016 Ford Ranger. However, new model will probably hit the market during the 2016. The price is expected to start at around $20,000 and go up to $40,000, depending on the trim level and equipment.
