2016 Ford Taurus Changes and Review

Seventh generation of Ford’s popular sedan is coming to the market soon. New 2016 Ford Taurus will get a complete redesign and will be better than ever.


New Taurus will undergo a lot of changes in both structure and style. Weight of the car will be reduced by 500 to 800 pounds from the previous generation, which will significantly improve the overall performance. Its wheelbase will also be longer which will provide more comfort inside the cabin. From the outside, new 2016 Ford Taurus will look sportier and modern. Front of the vehicle will feature a prominent, hexagonal grille as well as rectangular shaped headlights. Elegant and stylish design will also be seen inside the cabin that will be equipped with a lot of high quality materials such as wood and metal. Front seats will come with heating and cooling options, while the back seats will come with heating feature only. Dashboard will feature a large touch-screen, Bluetooth connectivity, navigation, satellite radio, parking assistance, traction control, tire pressure monitoring system, and a lot more great features.

New 2016 Ford Taurus will come with a few engine options. First one will be a 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine that will be able to produce around 305 horsepower and 300 lb-ft of torque. This engine will come with a base model. It will be paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission system and come with a front-wheel drive system as a standard. Second option will be a 3.5-liter V6 engine that will be able to generate 360 horsepower and 250 lb-ft of torque. Another engine in the line could be a 5.0-liter V8 engine that will be capable of delivering around 420 horsepower and up to 400 lb-ft of torque. It will come with a 9-speed automatic gearbox and all-wheel drive system as a standard.

Ford has not yet announced the official release date of their new model, but we can probably expect to see the new 2016 Ford Taurus on the market at the end of 2015, or at the beginning of 2016. The price is predicted to start at $28,000 and go up to around $45,000 for the model with the full equipment.
