Fourth generation of Honda’s successful SUV is coming soon. With some great updates, new 2016 Honda CR-V is going to be even better than its predecessor.
CHANGES AND IMPROVEMENTS
This model will not come with any major changes, but we will see a nice facelift. From the outside, new CR-V will have a modern and elegant appearance. A lot of changes will be visible on the front of the car, including redesigned grille, new headlights as well as a new bumper. The back of the vehicle will feature a new luggage door. New model will use a set of 17-inch alloy wheels. Attractive, fresh design will be continued to the cabin of the 2016 Honda CR-V. It will feature a new dashboard as well as a lot of high-tech features such as Bluetooth connectivity and satellite navigation.
2016 HONDA CR-V ENGINE
Engine of the new 2016 Honda CR-V will vary, depending on the market. For the European market, new model will be equipped with a 1.6 liter i-VTEC engine that will be capable of delivering 118 horsepower and up to 300 lb-ft of torque. Second option will be a 2.2 liter i-VTEC engine which will be able to produce 148 horsepower and around 349 lb-ft of torque. Another option for this market will be a 2.0 liter i-VTEC engine that will deliver 148 horsepower and 192 lb-ft or torque. On the other hand, the US market will be presented with a 2.4 four-cylinder engine that will deliver 185 horsepower and 221 lb-ft of torque. All of these engines will come with dual clutch gearbox and front wheel drive as a standard, while the four wheel drive will be optional.
RELEASE DATE AND EXPECTED PRICE
Although we do not know the official release date of the new 2016 Honda CR-V, the rumors predict that we will see this great SUV on the market before the end of 2015. The price is also unknown at this point, but considering that there are not many changes from the previous model, it should not be much higher. Price for the base model of the previous generation is $23,320, so we can expect that you will be able to get the new model at the similar cost.
