The long wait for this luxury flagship sedan will soon be over. After more than a decade, new 2016 Lincoln Continental is coming completely redesigned.
EXTERIOR AND INTERIOR
The last generation of this model was made back is 2002 and it has not been redesigned ever since. With the new version of Continental, Lincoln is hoping to make a comeback on the luxury car market. Although there is not a lot of information about the new model yet, from what we can see so far, new 2016 Lincoln Continental will come with many amazing changes and improvements. The exterior will be very elegant and luxurious. It will include a square grille with a recognizable Lincoln logo and LED headlights. With the comfortable interior, new model will be perfect choice for long rides. Seats, dashboard and the steering wheel will be covered in high-quality leather. Lincoln will also include a lot of high-tech features that will increase the safety of the new model and make it more user-friendly.
2016 LINCOLN CONTINENTAL ENGINE
A lot of changes will be seen under the hood of the new 2016 Lincoln Continental as well. There are few possible options for the engine of this sedan, but nothing is confirmed yet. The first option could be a 3.7-liter Cyclone V6 engine. Another possibility could be a 2.3-liter Ecoboost 4-cylinder engine. At the top of the range will likely be a 3.5-liter Ecoboost V6 engine that will be capable of delivering around 350 horsepower. This is the same unit that is under the hood of the current generation of MKS. When it comes to the transmission system, Lincoln will for the first time for this model offer a 9-speed automatic gearbox. New model will also come will improved fuel economy which is another reason that the new Continental will be at the top of its class.
RELEASE DATE AND EXPECTED PRICE
Even though the release date and price of the new 2016 Lincoln Continental have not been announced yet, there are many speculations about it. New model will most likely be released in the second quarter of 2016 while the price for the base model will be anywhere between $50,000 and $70,000.
