2016 Mazda 5 – Van, Redesign, Review

Another great model from Mazda will be hitting the market soon. New 2016 Mazda 5 comes with modern design, many technological features, and a great price.


Comparing to its predecessor, this minivan will not be drastically changed but we will definitely see some smaller improvements. Overall look of the exterior will be elegant and futuristic. Some of the changes that will be visible from the outside include redesigned LED headlights and a new pair of taillights. Side mirrors come with integrated turn signals and heating option. New model will be equipped with a set of 17-inch alloy wheels. Equipped with high quality materials, interior of the new 2016 Mazda 5 comes in attractive and modern design. Cabin will be spacious and comfortable, with enough leg-room and head-room. It will be able to accommodate up to six passengers into 2+2+2 seat layout. Technological features that will be incorporated into the new model include a new touch screen, 6-speaker sound system, Bluetooth connectivity, USB ports, automatic climate control with pollen filter, anti-lock brake system, dynamic stability control, traction control system, electronic brakeforce distribution, brake assist, and many more.

When it comes to the engine of the new 2016 Mazda 5, there will be two possible options. The first one will be a 2.0-liter engine that will be capable of delivering 155 horsepower and around 150 lb-ft of torque. The second engine option for the new model will be a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine that will be able to produce 160 horsepower and up to 163 lb-ft of torque. These engines will come paired with manual transmission system, while both the all-wheel drive and the front-wheel drive systems will be available. As of now, these are the only two options for the engine of the new model, but it is also possible that Mazda will offer other options like diesel and electric units.

Mazda has not yet announced the official release date of the new 2016 Mazda 5 but it should be sometime at the beginning of 2016. We can most likely expect to see a slight increase in price from the previous generation. Price tag for the base model should be around $30,000.
