2016 Mazda 6 Review and Changes

With the attractive shape, sporty design and powerful performance, new 2016 Mazda 6 has all it needs to be one of the top mid-size sedans on the market.


Freshly designed 2016 Mazda 6 will come with a nice facelift that will make it different than its predecessor. From the outside, new model will have a sporty and modern appearance. It will come with a set of 17-inch alloy wheels. Some of the changes that will be visible on the front side of the vehicle include a redesigned grille with six horizontal slats, new LED headlights and revised turn signals. We will see a lot more changes inside the model. Dashboard will have a new layout and the infotainment display will be placed above it which makes the 5.8-inch touch screen more accessible. High-tech features that will be included are Bluetooth connectivity, HD radio, rearview camera, blind spot monitoring, lane departure warning, and many more.

New model will come with only one engine option that will be capable of delivering a great performance. This will be a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine, which is the same unit that is under the hood of the current edition of Mazda 6. It will be able to produce up to 184 horsepower and 185 lb-ft of torque. There will be two options for the transmission system: 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic. Front-wheel drive system will come as a standard. New model will be able to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in under 7.5 seconds while the top speed will be at 140 mph. One of the biggest improvements on the new 2016 Mazda 6 will be the fuel economy which is another reason to consider this model if you are in the market for a new mid-size sedan.

New model is expected to come to the market either at the end of 2015 or in the first months of 2016. When it comes to the price of the 2016 Mazda 6, there is no official information yet but it will probably not be too much different than the price of the current model. It is expected to be in the range from $22,000 to $31,000.
