2016 Nissan Altima – Price, Refresh, Coupe, Hybrid

Next generation of one of Nissan’s best-selling models will be hitting the market this year. New 2016 Nissan Altima is coming with high expectations.


Even with the strong competition, new Altima is expected to stand out with its attractive design. Both 17-inch and 18-inch wheels are expected to be offered. Front side of the vehicle will feature a V-shaped grille, new hood, and stylish LED headlights. Changes on the back side include redesigned boomerang-shaped taillights, new bumper, and a redesign trunk lid. Improvements will also be seen inside the cabin of the new 2016 Nissan Altima. It will be able to accommodate up to five passengers into comfortable seats. Head-space and leg-space will be increased. Dashboard is also expected to be redesigned and will come with many great features. Some of those features include a 7-inch multi-touch display, Bluetooth connectivity, USB port, rear view camera and cruise control.

Under the hood of the new 2016 Nissan Altima will be a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine that will be capable of delivering 182 horsepower and 180 lb-ft of torque. The second option will be a 3.5-liter V6 unit that will be able to produce up to 270 horsepower and 251 lb-ft of torque. Both of these engines will be paired with a CVT transmission system. One of the great aspects of the new model will be its fuel economy. Fuel ratings for a 2.5-liter engine will be at 27 mpg in the city and up to 39 mpg on the highway. The V6 unit will return 22 mpg for the city drive and 32 mpg on the highway. Nissan will also offer a hybrid version of their new model. This will most likely be a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine combined with an electric motor and a 1.5 kWh lithium-ion battery. It will be able to produce up to 180 horsepower and come with a CVT transmission as well.

If you are interested in the in the new 2016 Nissan Altima, you will not have to wait much longer. Nissan has announced that the new model will hit the dealerships in November of 2015. Price is set to start at $23,325.
