2016 Nissan Xterra Redesign and Specs

This year Nissan is bringing out the new 2016 Nissan Xterra. This reputable SUV is coming in bigger size, with better design, and more powerful than ever.


New Xterra will be a perfect fit for long distance driving and rough terrains. It will come with bigger dimensions, a more powerful chassis and a stronger axle. This will make the new model one of the most powerful and dominant SUVs in its class. When it comes to the design of the exterior, we will see some great changes and improvements. Recognizable square-shaped body will be more modern and aggressive. Some of the changes on the outside will include a redesigned grille with a company’s logo placed in the middle of it, bigger bumper and new headlights and fog lights. Attractive design will be continued to the cabin of the new 2016 Nissan Xterra which will be able to accommodate up to 5 passengers. Some of the high-tech features that will be included are a 5.8-inch touch screen, Bluetooth connectivity, USB port, rear camera and cruise control.

New 2016 Nissan Xterra will be equipped with a powerful engine that will be capable of delivering an outstanding performance. This will be a 4.0-liter V6 engine. It will be able to produce around 261 horsepower and up to 281 lb-ft of torque. There will most likely be two options for the transmission system: 5-speed automatic and 6-speed manual. Front wheel drive will come as a standard while four wheel drive system will also be offered. It will be able to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just about 7.7 seconds. Fuel economy for the front wheel drive will be at 16 mpg for the city drive and 22 mpg on the highway while for the optional four wheel drive system it will be at 15 mpg in the city and 20 mpg on the highway.

Nissan has not yet announced the official release date of the new 2016 Nissan Xterra, but we can probably expect to see this great SUV on the market in the second half of 2015. The price is expected to be in the range from $25,000 to $32,000.
