2016 Porsche 911 – GT3 RS, Facelift, Changes, Release Date, Turbo

Porsche is bringing us the next generation of their iconic model. New 2016 Porsche 911 will be a perfect combination of impeccable design and great speed.


Throughout the years, we have seen this model change and evolve. Each generation was better than the previous one, keeping the best authentic features of its predecessor but at the same time improving. This will be the case with the new 2016 Porsche 911 as well. Changes that will be seen on the front side of the vehicle include redesigned headlights and a new bumper with LED daytime running lights. On the back side, we will see LED taillights and a revised bumper. Other changes include new door handles and the addition of two central exhaust pipes. There is not a lot of information about the interior at this point, since the new model has not been unveiled yet. However, it is certain that the new 911 will keep its recognizable design with a lot of premium materials while also including a lot of new and modern technological features.

Another great change will be found under the hood of the new 2016 Porsche 911. All of the models will now be equipped with a turbocharged engine, which will contribute to the improvements in power and performance. As always, there will be a few possible options for the engine of the new model. Base model will now be equipped with a new 2.9-liter turbocharged flat-six engine that will be capable of delivering up to 400 horsepower, which is 50 horsepower more than the previous generation. Another engine option for the new 911 will be a 3.8-liter turbocharged flat-six engine. When it comes to the fuel consumption of the new model, it is expected to be at 19 mpg for the city drive and 26 mpg on the highway.

New 2016 Porsche 911 will make its debut at the 2015 Frankfurt Auto Show in September and is expected to go on sale at the beginning of 2016. Price of the new model is rumored to be slightly higher than the price of the current generation, starting at $86,000.
