2016 Subaru Outback Redesign and Specs

Next generation of one of Subaru’s most popular models will be hitting the market soon. New 2016 Subaru Outback is coming with elegant and modern style.


After a few years of waiting, new Outback is coming better and more beautiful than ever. We will see a lot of great changes and updates, both on the inside and on the outside. New model will have slightly smaller dimensions compared to the previous one. By using the lightweight materials, Subaru is aiming to reduce the weight of the vehicle and therefore improve the fuel economy and the overall performance. New rectangular grille, redesigned LED headlights, new taillights and new roof spoiler are just some of the changes that will be visible on the outside of the new 2016 Subaru Outback. Spacious and comfortable cabin will be equipped with high-quality materials and will feature a luxurious and modern design. Some of the high-tech features that will be included are 6.2 inches touch screen display, phone pairing, video navigation and climate monitoring.

As for the engine of the new 2016 Subaru Outback, there will be a few possible options. The first one will be a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine that will be able to produce 175 horsepower and 173 lb-ft of torque. Its fuel consumption will be at 24 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway. The next engine in the lineup is a 3.6-liter V6 engine that will be capable of delivering 256 horsepower and 334 lb-ft of torque. Fuel consumption for this unit will be at 18 mpg for the city drive and 25 mpg on the highway. Subaru will also offer a diesel version of their new model. This will be a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbocharged engine. All of these engines will be paired with a CVT or a 6-speed manual transmission system and come with an all-wheel drive system as a standard.

New 2016 Subaru Outback was recently shown on a Geneva Motor Show in March 2015. The release date has not been announced yet but it is expected that new model will hit the market in the fall of 2015. The anticipated price for the base model is around $26,000.
