This year Volvo is bringing back their largest SUV. With sharp look and efficient powertrain, 2016 Volvo XC90 is definitely going to turn some heads.
CHANGES AND IMPROVEMENTS
New model is coming to the market completely refreshed. Exterior of the new 2016 Volvo XC90 will be redesigned to give appearance of the dominant, yet not too aggressive look. The front of the vehicle features completely new and modern grille. Renewed headlights will incorporate LED technology. The bumper is now blended with front fascia and will carry two air intakes. The hood of the new Volvo has been redesigned and now has a more muscular shape. Volvo will offer three trim levels with their new model: Momentum, R-Design and Inscription. Each will have their own separate set of wheels, ranging from 19 to 22 inches. Likewise, the interior of the new Volvo will provide high level of luxury and comfort, making the 2016 Volvo XC90 possibly one of the nicest Volvo’s SUV. It will be able to accommodate up to seven passengers. With high-quality materials such as leather, wood and carbon fiber, the cabin has a clean and elegant look. New 9-inch multifunction touchscreen is now oriented vertically. Next to the standard safety features, new XC90 will also offer surround-view camera, blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning and many more.
2016 VOLVO XC90 ENGINE
Under the hood of the new 2016 Volvo XC90 will be a 2.0 liter four-cylinder supercharged and turbocharged T6 engine. This engine will be capable of generating 316 horsepower and up to 295 lb-ft of torque. It will be mated will eight-speed automatic transmission system that distributes output to all four wheels. Next to that, the engine will be equipped with some interesting features such as ECO+ functionality, five driving modes and Start/Stop technology. Considering all of these features, as well as the fact that the new model will be considerably lighter, fuel economy and overall performance will be significantly improved.
RELEASE DATE AND EXPECTED PRICE
The exact release date of the new Volvo has not been announced yet, but it is expected to hit the markets in the summer of 2015. When it comes to the price of the new 2016 Volvo XC90, it is predicted to start at around $49,000.
