2017 BMW M5 – Redesign, Release Date, Changes

BMW is bringing us the next generation of their impressive sports sedan. New 2017 BMW M5 is coming with a powerful engine and many great high-tech features.


Although BMW will not make any huge changes on their new model, there will definitely be minor updates that will improve its functionality and appearance. This generation of M5 will be significantly lighter than its predecessor. Thanks to the use of materials such as aluminum and carbon fiber, new model will be able to provide better fuel economy and deliver a more powerful performance. From the outside, it will have a sporty and stylish look. Both headlights and taillights will be equipped with the LED technology. New model will come with a set of 20-inch alloy wheels. More changes will be apparent on the interior. The cabin will be more spacious and provide higher level of comfort for its passengers. It will be able to accommodate up to 5 passengers. Seats will be covered in leather while the front seats will also come with the heating option. Bluetooth connectivity, USB port, and dual zone climate control are just a few of the many high-tech features that will come with the new 2017 BMW M5.

New 2017 BMW M5 will be equipped with the same engine as its predecessor. However, the engine will be improved and able to deliver a more powerful performance. This is a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine that will be able to produce up to 592 horsepower and 550 lb-ft of torque. New model will come with a 7-speed dual clutch automatic transmission system and come with a rear-wheel drive system as a standard. It will be able to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just around 3.2 seconds and reach the top speed of 190 mph. Fuel economy ratings are still unknown, but more information will be known closer to the release date.

New model will most likely be released in the last quarter of 2016. Price for the base model will be similar to the previous generation, starting at around $95,000. However, higher trim levels of the new 2017 BMW M5 will go up to around $120,000.
