2017 GMC Terrain – Redesign, Specs, Price

GMC is working on the next generation of their well-known crossover. New 2017 GMC Terrain is coming with many changes, including the new design and engine.


New Terrain is coming with many improvements and updates in almost every aspect, which will definitely contribute to the even better success of this already popular model. GMC will use lightweight materials such as aluminum which will reduce the weight of the new model and therefore improve its fuel economy and the overall performance. From the outside, new Terrain will have a more modern and elegant appearance. Customers will have two additional color choices to choose from. The changes that will be visible on the front side of the vehicle include a redesigned grille and a pair of new LED headlights. The back side will feature LED taillights and will also have a more attractive look. The cabin of the new 2017 GMC Terrain will feature amazing changes and will come with many new and updated features that will make it even more user-friendly and increase the safety level of the vehicle. Seats will be covered in leather and will provide high level of comfort for its passengers. High-tech features that will come with the new model include a 7-inch touchscreen display, Bluetooth connectivity, USB port, new audio system, satellite navigation, rearview camera, as well as many more.

New model will come with a couple of engine options. The first one will be a 2.4-liter V4 engine that will be capable of producing 182 horsepower and around 172 lb-ft of torque. The second option for the engine of the new model will be a 3.6-liter V6 unit. It will be able to generate up to 301 horsepower and 272 lb-ft of torque. When it comes to the transmission system, new 2017 GMC Terrain will come with a 6-speed automatic gearbox. All-wheel drive system is expected to come as a standard.

The official release date of the new 2017 GMC Terrain is still unknown, but the new model will probably hit the dealerships in the spring of 2017. Its price tag is expected to start at around $26,000.
