CHANGES AND IMPROVEMENTS
Although the exterior of the new model will not come with many huge changes, we will definitely see some nice improvements that will contribute to the modern and fresh appearance of the new Civic Type R. Front side of the vehicle will feature a stylish grille, a pair of LED headlights, and big intake vents. C-shaped taillights will also be equipped with the LED technology and will give the back side of the new model a more attractive look. Predominantly black interior will be accompanied with red accents. Honda will most likely offer two engine choices for their new model. The first option will be a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine with direct injection. This unit will be able to provide a better performance than the previous generation of Civic Type R, delivering up to 306 horsepower and around 295 lb-ft of torque. It will be paired with a 6-speed manual transmission system and come with the front-wheel drive system. It will be able to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just around 5 seconds while the top speed is expected to be around 167 mph. Another option for the engine of the new 2017 Honda Civic Type R could be a 1.5-liter turbo-four engine. This unit is expected to come with significantly better fuel economy.

It is still too early to predict the exact price as well as the release date of the new 2017 Honda Civic Type R. However, rumors say that the new model will hit the market sometimes in 2017 with the price tag starting at around $48,000.
