2017 Mazda 6 – Review, Sedan, Changes

Anyone in the market for a new midsize sedan should consider waiting for 2017 Mazda 6. New model is coming with some exciting changes and improvements.


Mazda’s new model will come with a more aggressive and powerful appearance. It will use KODO design language. The body of the new model will be lower and more angular, comparing to its predecessor. A lot of changes will be visible on the front side of the vehicle. It will feature a redesigned grille, large bumper, and attractive LED headlights. It will come with a set of 19-inch alloy wheels. Elegant design at the back of the new 2017 Mazda 6 will be accompanied with the LED taillights. A lot of the updates will be visible inside the cabin as well. Seats will be covered in leatherette and will come with the heating feature for the front seats. Mazda will incorporate a lot of high-tech features that will contribute to a more user-friendly vehicle. This includes a 7-inch touchscreen display, 11-speaker Bose audio system, Bluetooth connectivity, satellite radio, rearview camera, blind-spot monitoring, automatic climate control, cruise control, rear-cross traffic alert, and much more.

New 2017 Mazda 6 will be equipped with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine. This unit will be able to produce up to 184 horsepower and 185 lb-ft of torque. It will be paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission system. Front-wheel drive system is expected to come as a standard. New model will be able to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 7.6 seconds. When it comes to the fuel economy, new Mazda 6 with the manual transmission will deliver 25 mpg in the city and 37 mpg on the highway. The one with the automatic gearbox will be able to reach 26 mpg in the city and 38 mpg on the highway.

There is still very little information from Mazda regarding the release date and price of the new 2017 Mazda 6. If the predictions are true, it should be released sometimes in the middle of 2017. Starting price is expected to be around $21,495.
