2017 Mazda CX-9 – Redesign, Review

This crossover SUV is coming with updated design and a new engine. New 2017 Mazda CX-9 will provide a comfortable and enjoyable ride for its passengers.


This second generation of Mazda’s stylish SUV is coming to the market with attractive appearance. It will use popular KODO design language. The exterior will be sporty and aggressive. It will be equipped with a set of either 18-inch or 20-inch wheels. A lot of improvements will be visible on the front side of the vehicle. This includes a redesigned grille, LED headlights, a new bumper, and larger air intakes. Changes on the back of the car include redesigned taillights and bumper. Customers will be able to choose between seven exterior colors. Modern and luxurious design will be seen throughout the interior as well. The cabin will be equipped with high-quality materials including leather, aluminum, and wood. Mazda will also include a lot of technological and safety features with their new 2017 Mazda CX-9. These include a large touchscreen display, Bluetooth connectivity, 6-speaker sound system, keyless entry, cruise control, lane-keep assist, lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring, and many more.

We will see some nice improvements under the hood of the new 2017 Mazda CX-9. Old engine will now be replaced with a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder SkyActiv engine. It will be able to produce 250 horsepower and up to 310 lb-ft of torque. This unit will be paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission system. Front-wheel drive is expected to come as a standard, while the all-wheel drive system will come as an option. Another great improvement will come in the form of fuel consumption. This will put the new model even higher up in its class. New CX-9 equipped with the front-wheel drive system will be able to deliver up to 25 mpg combined, while the one with the all-wheel drive will be able to reach 23 mpg.

If the rumors are true, new 2017 Mazda CX-9 should hit the market sometimes in the first half of 2017. Base price is expected to start at $31,520, and it will rise from there for the higher trim levels.
